Gingerbread Cookies

Cream Together

    • 1 Cup Butter
    • 1 Cup Sugar


Add to Above & Blend Well

    • 1 Cup Molasses
    • 1 Tbs Vinegar
    • 1 Egg


Sift Together & Add to Above

    • 5 Cups Flour - Sifted
    • 1/2 Tsp Salt
    • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
    • 1- 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
    • 1 Tbs Ginger
    • 1 Tsp Cloves

Chill dough three hours. Roll 1/4" on floured board. Cut. Bake at 350º for 5 to 6 minutes. Cool. Yield 8 dozen.

Frost lightly with mixture of powdered sugar and milk.
