Sour Cream Coffeecake
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Margarine
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1-1/2 Cups Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Soda
- 2 Eggs Pinch of Salt
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 2 Tbs Brown Sugar
- 1 Tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon Butter
- 2 Cups Sifted Flour
Preparation
Cream butter, add sugar, add eggs, sour cream, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and nuts. Blend in flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Spoon half to 3/4 of batter into greased and floured angel food cake pan. Sprinkle 1/2 (or all) of brown sugar mixture on batter. Spoon in rest of cake mixture. Sprinkle top with rest of brown sugar mixture. (optional) Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
Brown Sugar Mixture:
Mix 2 tablespoons brown sugar to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix enough butter in until crumbly consistency.
