Hot-Yaki Wings

Ingredients

    • Chicken Wings

Marinade

    • Equal parts Dale's Steak Seasoning & Frank's Red Hot Buffalo (~1 cup each)

Sauce

    • ½ cup Teryaki (low sodium)

    • 1 tsp Chili Flakes

    • 1/8 tsp Cumin

    • Dash of Chinese Five Spice

    • 2 dashes Cayenne

    • 2 Tbs Frank's Red Hot Buffalo


Preparation

    • Combine marinade ingredients in a large storage bag. Add the wings, let marinade for ~30 minutes

    • Heat grill to ~350 degrees Farenheit

    • Place the wings around the edge of the grill. This allows for a little extra heat to crisp up the skin. Cook for ~30-35 minutes, flip halfway through. Targeting an internal temperature of 175-180 degrees.

    • Combine sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl. Toss the wings in the sauce and serve


Notes

    • If you don't want to use Dale's Steak Seasoning due to the MSG or it isn't available in your store, below is a simple DIY alternative:

    • Ingredients

        • 3 cups soy sauce

        • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)

        • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce

        • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

        • 1 teaspoon salt

        • 2 tablespoons sugar

        • 1 dash black pepper

        • 1 dash paprika

        • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    • Preparation

      • Combine the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well with a wire whisk until incorporated.
