Biscuits & Gravy
Ingredients
1 tube of Pillsbury Flaky Grands biscuits
1 lb pork sausage
1/3 cup flour
4 tbs butter
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup milk - used to adjust to desired consistency (I used 2%)
Salt and coarse pepper
Olive oil
Preparation
Start with your favorite Pillsbury biscuits (I used Flaky Grands!)
Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 15 min (or follow instructions on biscuits)
Oil skillet and brown pork sausage - breaking it up while cooking
Once the sausage is cooked through, which is little to no pink, add the flour and mix in
After a couple of minutes, add butter and melt down.
Then add two cups of buttermilk slowly while stirring in
Salt to taste and put enough pepper on to almost coat the top before stirring in
Reduce heat and simmer until the biscuits are finished.
NOTE: Use the extra cup of milk as needed if the gravy gets too thick
