Cream Together
- 2-1/4 Cups Shortening
- 2-1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
- 2-1/4 Cups White Sugar
- 5 Eggs
- 2-1/2 Tsp Vanilla
Sift Together
- 4-1/2 Cups Flour
- 2-1/4 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1-1/8 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1-1/8 Tsp Salt
Add
- 4-1/2 Cups Rolled Oats
- 2 12-oz Pckg Chocolate Chips
Final Preparation
- Drop on greased cookie tin (grease tins before each new batch). Use an ice cream scoop 3/4 full to drop the dough on the tins.
- Bake at 350 degrees until done (edges will turn brown and centers will still look chewy). Bake for 10-12 or 15-20 minutes. Depends on oven.
Makes 4 dozen giant cookies.
