Chocolate Peppermint Brownies

Cookie

    • 2 Squares (2 oz total) Unsweetened Chocolate
    • 1/2 Cup Butter
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 Cup Sugar
    • 1/4 Tsp Peppermint Extract
    • 1/2 Cup Flour
    • Pinch of Salt
    • 1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts

Frosting

    • 1 Cup Confectioners’ Sugar
    • 2 Tbs Butter
    • 1 Tbs Evaporated Milk
    • 1/2 Tsp Peppermint Extract
    • A Drop or Two of GREEN Food Coloring


Glaze

    • 2 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate
    • 2 Tbs Butter

Preparation

Melt chocolate and butter. Add eggs which have been beaten with sugar. Stir in remaining cookie ingredients and bake in a buttered 8 or 9 inch square cake pan at 350° for 15 minutes. Cool. Mix frosting ingredients, spread on cookies and chill. Melt butter and chocolate for glaze. Spread over frosting. Store in the refrigerator in warm weather. This recipe easily doubles.
