Berry Crumble
Ingredients
3 cups fresh berries - rinsed
1 Tbs freshly squeezed lime juice
1 Cup sifted all-purpose flour - sifted
1 Cup sugar
1/2 Tsp salt
1 Large egg - beaten
6 Tbs butter
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375 F and generously grease a 10" x 6" baking dish with butter
Scatter the berries over the bottom of the prepared baking dish
Sprinkle the lemon juice evenly over the blackberries
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and egg to a 'shaggy' consistency
Scatter the topping over the berries
Drizzle the butter evenly over the top
Bake until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbly (about 40-45 minutes)
Scoop into shallow bowls and serve with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream
